In January of 2020, TJ Wies Contracting purchased a warehouse facility to house the TJ Wies Prefab Innovation Center and completed extensive updates and remodeling to suit the company’s prefabrication needs. By October 2020, the TJ Wies Prefab Innovation Center was fully functional, housing a showroom and office space in addition to an expansive shop floor, just in time to begin fabrication of thirty-eight panels for the St. Charles County DOC Pedestrian Bridge project.

TJ Wies Contracting officially entered the prefabrication world in 2019 by becoming an affiliate company of Sto Panel Technology. Unofficially, TJ Wies has been innovating and prefabricating for over a decade, most notably completing multiple prefabricated modular bathroom pod projects, as well as utilizing a PanelMax drywall milling machine to manufacture multiple ready-to-install drywall assemblies.
