Tj Wies’ team of prefabrication experts will review building elevations and layout to ensure panelization is a good fit. Construction types with bypass curtain walls are typically a good candidate for StoPanel. If your project is not a bypass curtain wall, Eisen’s load bearing panels are reviewed as a potential option.
In either case, the TJ Wies team of experts can become a part of your team and provide direction and reworking details to save time and money on the project.
Reducing the construction timeline and allowing for quicker building occupancy is a major factor in financial savings with prefabrication. Additionally, prefabrication requires less labor on site, which reduces the on-site resources and installation costs.
TJ Wies has been providing customers with prefabricated solutions since day one. New technology in equipment and software has allowed us to progress even further.
Modular bathroom units are beneficial in projects in which bathrooms are repetitive with consistent quality and finishes. Markets served include hospitality, student housing, healthcare and multifamily.
Bathroom pods reduce construction costs by shortening the construction timeline, improving quality, and removing the bathroom defects lists. Bathroom pods eliminate high levels of coordination, supervision, and sequencing of trades. Construction timeline reduction provides quicker building occupancy and earlier income streams.
Design opportunities are limitless on prefabricated panels. Specialty finishes can be applied after the panels arrive on site, or panels can arrive on site complete with Sto Specialty Finishes, removing the need for an additional trade and providing greater schedule savings. Further design versatility is provided with Swiss Pearl and Dri-Design wall panel systems. Both systems combine the convenience and cost-effectiveness of off-site panel manufacturing with the look and feel of an innovative, contemporary aesthetic.
Yes. The panels meet or exceed the latest building code requirements. Completely fabricated panels can be manufactured following a thermal analysis.
Because panels are shipped to the project site on trailers, there are sizing restrictions. Prefabricated wall panels can be up to 16’ 0” wide and as long as 48’ 0”. The optimal size for panels is around 12’ 0” high by 24’ 0” long. Project aesthetics and structural requirements will determine the feasible size for panels.
Reduced levels of defects and waste as well as greater efficiencies throughout the production process contribute to sustainability. The controlled factory environment provides better working conditions, leading to increased accuracy, tighter joints, and better wall insulation, providing increased energy efficiency.
